Schools Edition Sellers Page

Thanks for requesting access to this page. It's designed to give you all the information you need to create a Show Portfolio for your students.
You can either create your own special edition of  The Show Portfolio for your school, or simply place a bulk order for the ready-to print version.

First, a couple of questions:

1: Which edition are you ordering?

Customised
Create your school’s own branded edition to inspire pride in your school and a sense of belonging.
You can supply a 150-250 word introduction letter (optional) to your students, and you will need to send us your logo in a high resolution (eg 600 x 600px) PNG format with transparent background.
Customisation artwork charge is £57. You can cover this through your business to keep the cost of the journal down for parents or charge the RRP to recoup the cost.

OR

Non-customised
Order the ready-to-print version (no logo on the cover, the publisher’s intro inside, otherwise the same as the printed sample you have received).
This means: no artwork charge, which keeps the cost down, plus enables us to dispatch quicker (it will usually be with you within 2-3 weeks of order payment; dispatch date will be advised when you order and pay).

2: What price are you setting? (RRP £14.95?/more?/less?)
You are free to set the price as appropriate for your school. If you haven't already, take a look at the pricing section and rate card on the schools page (here). Even if you decide to create a customised edition and order the minimum 20 copies, you will likely cover all your costs (inc artwork and delivery) by pricing your journals at RRP to parents. You can always 'sense check’ your proposed price with a few trusted parents.

3: Do you have a deadline?
Is there a particular date by which you want your journals to arrive, such as an upcoming show or end of term? (If time is tight, consider a ready-to-print order and contact us for estimated dispatch dates and /or a quote to upgrade for a rush order).

Good to go? Start here:

Step 1: Tell your parents about the journal
... and how they can order it, using one of the parent email templates below. Simply copy and edit it to include your price, deadline and payment instructions.
TIP: Have the sample copy available to show parents at drop-off and pick-up, in your reception. A book stand can be useful if you have one, or some way to prop the book up for visibility on a busy desk.

Step 2: Collect orders and payments using your usual school system

Follow up a couple of times to ensure everyone who wants to order, has the chance to.
TIP: Consider adding a few additional copies to your order for anyone who missed out and/or for selling during shows.

Step 3: Submit your bulk order here

You can also access this on the schools page of our website and the link will also be in emails we send you.
TIP: if ordering customised, have your logo ready to upload (as a high res PNG file, 600 x 600px, with transparent background) and the text (150-250 words) for your intro letter, ready to paste into the form, when you place your order. Feel free to email us if you have any problems.

Step 4: Look out for the invoice from MT Theatre Guides and pay using the link

Important to note: Payment is due on receipt. As soon as the invoice is paid we can get to work on your order.

Step 5: Check proofs

If ordering a customised edition, please look out your digital proof by email and check it asap to avoid delays in getting your order to you.
Good to know: For both customised and non customised editions - estimated dispatch dates will be emailed once payment is received and the order has been placed with our printers.

Email templates

Explain the offer to your parents using one of the two email templates below.
Edit it with your deadline, pricing and payment instructions.

Tip: pop a reminder in your diary to send out a couple of follow ups before as your deadline approaches.

Dear Parents,

We’re delighted to let you know about a new journal we are launching The [insert name of drama school] Show Portfolio.

It will enable students to create a record of each show they take part in, with thoughtful prompts to fill in about each show, as well as space to paste photos, cuttings from programmes, cast lists etc. It’s designed to encourage reflection and learning (and who knows, for some students it may even build into a portfolio for later drama school applications!) But either way, it will ultimately create a wonderful keepsake to look back on.

A sample copy is available to view at drop-off/pick-up.

The Show Portfolio will be customised with our logo on the cover and a special message to our students inside and will be published to order by MT Theatre Guides. The price will be [£X].

If you would like one of these for your young performer, please place your order using the order form [insert link] and then use this link to make payment [insert link]

[or insert your usual order /payment instructions here]
